Duplicate Content - What is It. The Facts

Their are a lot of myths on the internet about duplicate content

Duplicate content is not what most people think - in that your content should NOT appear anywhere else
on the Internet apart from the one place that you have created it for.

i.e most people believe that if you have the same piece of content on say, your website, your blog and at an article directory, Google will somehow penalise you and only show your content on one of your of your content's destinations - this simply is NOT true.

Duplicate content is where you place the same piece of content elsewhere within the same site, i.e on your website on perhaps the home page and also elsewhere on another page.

Why would anyone do this ? quite simply to PAD out the content on their site to make it look better.

This is what Google do not like, and this is what duplicate content is.

All the best

How to Get FREE TrafficTo Your Website or Blog

How can we get FREE traffic to our website or blog 24/7 is something we all want to know - let's be honest, traffic equals customers which equals MONEY!, no traffic, no customers, it's as simple as that – if you don't have enough traffic – GOODBYE business

No 1 Traffic Tip - the email signature

Email signatures are extremely easy to do but also very effective - you would be surprised at how many people do not have an email signature.

Think how many people you email each day?

By adding a SIMPLE - but effective couple of lines to the bottom of each email you can work wonders in getting your message across to your respondents They will read your email then either choose to click on your signature link to your website, or ignore it

It's SO, SO simple, you can get your 2 or 3 line message across to anyone you email - FREE!

Think of a couple of lines for your sales message, perhaps a FREE eBook - How to get loads of FREE Traffic - Grab yours NOW!!, then on the next line set up a link to your website - this is easy to do, you go into your email program.

Select tools, select options, and then select signature (options may vary with different email programs)' now either add the URL (address) to your website or in some email programs the editor will allow you to do a clickable link (hyperlink)

There you go – you've now created your email signature for the entire world to see (well, your contacts anyway) all free, but very, very effective.

No 2 Traffic Tip , on how to get free traffic to your website or blog is Forum Marketing.

This is an absolute favourite of mine - ok, it may take a while to get a lot of traffic but this can keep traffic coming for years to come.

I simply join good forums in my niche, not just any old forum, you want to join forums with plenty of people in them, and I would say if you wanted a number - 20,000 people or more.

Now don't go in and start spouting about your website or new super product straight away, it wont work and will just get you a reputation as a spammer - you need to ease yourself in gently and offer value to the forum.

In your forum profile you have a chance to tell them all about yourself, and you add a nice photo so they can see you are human... and you also add a signature, this will be seen at the bottom of your post, so go ahead, answer some questions, start some interesting topics,

Offer value by giving people good information - add great value information to the forum and people will respond by reading your posts and your signature at the bottom of each one.

Traffic Tip 3, Blog posting - is to subscribe to as many high traffic blogs in your niche as you can, and then reply to the posts with good sound advice - this in turn will allow you to include your website URL, which people will click on to go to your site, now you are creating links back to you & your website or squeeze page or even your blog.

When you respond to questions or posts on blogs, don't just say, "good advice" or "thanks for the info", write some detailed & useful information that other people will find interesting, people pass these articles & replies on all the time, if you offer good information, people will respond positively with an interest in you and what you are doing

Now I hope you have enjoyed these traffic tips because I have something even better for you below and you will want to know this valuable information, it's a great free eBook for you and you are going to LOVE it, I promise – you can create your own web pages to drive all this lovely free traffic to

It's very, very easy, believe me if I can do it, anyone can

Make your Own Website & Turn it Into an Internet Cash Machine

Design a website - WHO ME ??, you must be joking, is this you ?. This was me a few weeks ago. It used to be considered difficult to design web pages, people had to know HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up Language) and if you didn't have a degree in web design then it was either spend hours poring over books or plain give up..

This has all changed, Web 2 has arrived and everything has got faster, slicker and much easier, now - website design has got cheaper and cheaper and one reason for this is because people are designing and building their own sites

Now whether you want to build your own fan website or to build a site to make money, never has their been a better time to get cracking in this fun and possibly lucrative pass-time.

We all want to show off to the world - right ? maybe our online skills, our cool photo's, our video's, our articles and stuff, where better to display what you do or what you know, than on your own website.

Now I have to be honest, when it comes to design, I cringe at the word, as my design skills are practically zero but even I can make great looking web pages designed to THRILL!! simply by following a few steps.

If you have no idea what ftp is or http or html, don't worry you soon will.

Now I use a little free html editor called "Komposer" this handy tool is what I design my web pages in - you can write text, import photo's and even upload everything (barring e-books) to the web all in a few strokes, so your first task is to download Komposer.

Next you will need a domain name - this is the web address your website sits on - you can get one fairly cheaply from Go Daddy for a yearly fee of about $9, make the domain name relevant to what your website is about, only get a .com as it's still the most recognised domain ending in the entire universe.

You will also need a hosting account - Hostgator is good as you can host unlimited web pages for about $10 a month. A hosting account is necessary as you will be renting space (like real estate) to park your website on.

Now, do you want to make money with this site ? if you want to make money, you are going to need to create your own list and you will need to send emails to your list of prospects using an autoresponder, an autoresponder is a piece of software that lets you submit emails to your potential customers in sequence, all on auto pilot - I can recommend Aweber, this is the same one I use myself.

Now you will need to learn to put this all together to make it work, and boy will it work, that is more than I can do in a short article like this - I have a FREE 125 page eBook for you about creating your own website, GET YOURS NOW!!

Tips & Benefits for Distributing Your Articles

You may already publish articles on your own site to provide valuable content to your readers and to generate traffic through search engines, word of mouth, etc. But there are plenty of benefits to distributing your content elsewhere online.

Here are just some of those benefits:

1. Expand your reach
2. Reach new (sub) markets
3. Increased brand recognition
4. Incoming links to your site for traffic and link reputation
5. Connection with other businesses, reaching a similar target market
6. Credibility – having your name out there

Tips to get your content out there:

1. Article directories like Ezine Articlesand Go Articles, but don’t limit to that
2. Guest posts on blogs. Find relevant, high traffic blog
3. Sites like Squidoo and Hub Pages – these sites have a good source of traffic to tap into
4. Turn articles into press releases and submit to prweb.com and relevant media
5. Contact content site owners directly to offer your content for publication
6. Contact Ezine owners to see if they'd like to publish your articles in their ezine.

Other Tips:

1. Where original content is required, rewrite and repurpose articles for future distribution
2. Rework articles with relevant examples to suit slightly different audiences.
3. Choose quality over quantity. You don’t have to submit your articles everywhere. Monitor your results and focus on the best performing opportunities

The key is to think strategically and how to maximize the use of the content you create. Whether the same article is published in more than one place, or you rewrite articles for new audience, get extra mileage out of each and every piece.

Articles need websites to display them on, blogs like this are great but why not also learn how to create your own websites to display content - FREE 125 page eBook

Kick Start Your Internet Online Home Based Business With Blogging

by Imeyesite

Blogging has been used for some years as a platform for individuals to record chronological publication of comments and thoughts on the web. They usually include philosophical reflections, opinions on the Internet and social or political issues. This article explains how one could go beyond this to capitalise the strength of blogging to enhance one's Internet business.

A weblog, or more popularly known as "blog", is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog.

The popularity of blog is gaining momentum globally with each passing month. A recent survey conducted by Comscore.com shows the following findings:

1) 50 million of the population in the USA visited blog sites in the first quarter of 2005

2) This indicates an increase of about 45% compared to First Quarter of 2004.

3) An average blog visitor spends 23 hours per week online while an average Internet user spends only 13 hours online.

4) Blog visitors are 11% more likely than the average Internet users to have incomes of $75,000 or more.

5) Blog visitors are 30% more likely to buy products or services online.

Anybody thinking of starting an online venture, would be silly not to recognise the importance of blogging being one of the best tools of Internet marketing.

Blogging is a perfect way for the average person to make money online without going through all the troubles and frustration of learning how to set up a website and be an efficient internet marketer.

Let's now talk about nich products. Why do you need a nich product? And what has this to do with "blogging"? You may ask. It is because your online business has little hope of succeeding if you're going head to head with the big boys. As a small Internet entrepreneur, you can never hope to compete with the big boys in terms of the power of pricing strategy and advertising. But you can be successful by finding niche markets or niche products that you seldom find at your local mall in oder to stay away from the empowering presence of the big guys.

Niche market basically is a market with a significant amount of interest online that does not encounter the same competition as in other regular products. You can easily create a niche market based on any topics including even your own hobbies, e.g. gardening, guitar, tropical fish, D.I.Y etc. As long as the topic is being searched for online, you would have a great opportunity of making some profit through adding ads to your blog and making some effort in promoting your targeted affiliate programs and products.

Many internet marketing newbies opt for blogs to set up their niche markets because as beginners, they can very easily add pages, images, banners, downloads, ebooks etc to their blogs. Unlike the regular websites, they do not need to worry about having to understand HTML (the website design language)!

Savvy marketers have discovered that blogging is one of the best Internet marketing methods that is free because you could create your blog almost immediately at no cost compared to the setting up of a conventional website.

Putting information in your blog to help establishing your presence in the Web is now a growing phenomenon. Blogging for your Internet business is one surefire way to enhance the visibility of your products and services.

With the continuing improvement in software technology, publishing, introducing plug-ins, banners, pictures etc to create a fun and interesting "website" has become a breeze even to those retirees with old and rusty brains.

The more content you add to your blog, the more traffic you get. And you can add these materials almost on a daily basis.

You could get high ranking search engine placement for many internet marketing terms just by designing your posts around certain targeted keywords. This phenomenon is more prominent when handling niche markets due to the lack of competition. Free articles could be easily obtained from many article directories in the web and posted to your blogs for the benefits of your visitors.

There's almost no limit to what you could and want to do with your blog. You can include your ideas, opinions, expertise in your field of work, resumes, home recipes, pictures, audio or video clips, e-books, poetry, products, services, consultations etc., etc.

What are the main differences between a blog and a website then? You may ask.

Most websites are relatively permanent with only occasional updating. With blogs, you could post any new content almost on daily basis. Also, websites are usually less personal as far as their relationship with the visitors is concerned.

How do you start your first step to set up a blog? There are many host services providers you could join. Among the most popular are Blogger.com and LiveJournal.com. You could start with Blogger.com which many newbies find serving their needs just perfectly.

With Blogger.com, posting your web content is like a breezy walk in the park. Photographs of your produces etc, along with any text, could be uploaded to your blog right away with just a few clicks of your mouse.

Another facility you could use is Audioblogger that enables audio posting to your current blog site with any phone at any time from any place. It is not only effective but also easy and fun. You call a given number, record a post, then your blog is updated with an audioblogger icon and a link to your recorded audio. Your message in your own voice is instantly posted! The beautiful part of it all is the fact that this is totally free of charge!

Blogging has been used for some years as a platform for individuals to record chronological publication of comments and thoughts on the web. Now we know how one could go beyond this to capitalise the strength of blogging to enhance one's Internet business.
